Lebanon decided on Friday night to impose a full lockdown and curfew during the upcoming holidays including the next week's Easter and Muslim feast to control the COVID-19 outbreak.
In the same context, the concerned committee of observing the case of the pandemic in the state expressed concerns over the rise of the infection numbers due to the direct contact among people in closed areas.
Therefore, a total curfew will be imposed starting from April 3, 5 am to April 6.
Lebanese Christians who follow the Western calendar will celebrate Easter on April 2, on the other hand, the Eastern church will celebrate with it on May 2. Furthermore, Muslims in Lebanon will start their celebrations in May.
Experts in the state are expecting a new rise in infections as the third wave of the Coronavirus has already started in the state amid the political, and economic tragic situation in Lebanon.
