The Lebanese cabinet decided on Tuesday to impose a complete lockdown across the country for four days as of Wednesday evening till Monday morning to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
During its meeting, the cabinet assigned Mohammed Fahmi to reveal the measures set to be taken during the lockdown, according to Lebanese news agency.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab said the country succeeded in combating the virus over two months and a half by taking the precautionary measures quickly but all efforts could fail due to irresponsibility.
Lebanon registered today 11 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of positive cases to 870.
The number of fatalities is still unchanged, remaining at 26.
