The number of vehicles belonging to the Civil Defense reached 200, while Cypriot jets arrived in Lebanon to put out fires.
Noteworthy, over the last two days, rising temperatures in Lebanon have led to breaking out of fires in many areas while the speedy wind helped the spread of the fires.
The large-scale fires have engulfed a number of Lebanese areas, particularly in the district of Mount Lebanon, where it devastated large areas of forests and plantations.
On her part, Interior Minister Raya Hassan moved to the Cabinet headquarters in the early hours of this morning to follow up the development of the situation, and called for a meeting of the National Disaster Management Agency to discuss ways and efforts to control these fires.
