Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdullah Bouhabib this morning (Saturday) to follow up the discussion on the Israeli attacks on the south and the issue of the missiles launched from Lebanese territory, according to the German News Agency.
Bouhabib announced, according to the National News Agency, that it had been decided to send a letter of complaint to the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General through Lebanon's mission to the United Nations.
According to the Lebanese agency, "the letter includes an affirmation of Lebanon's commitment to international resolution 1701, and the letter also condemns the Israeli attacks on Lebanon by air, land, and sea."
On the other hand, a cautious calm prevailed in southern Lebanon, on Friday, following the Israeli artillery strikes that targeted at dawn areas close to the missile launch sites in the south of Tyre yesterday at dawn when the Israeli army targeted an open area in the south of the city of Tyre, with three artillery shells, according to the official "National News Agency", noting that the damage was limited to light damage to an industrial workshop as a result of flying stones and dust, and neither causalities nor injuries were recorded.
