The Lebanese short film "The Lighthouse" will be screened today at the New Filmmakers Short Film Festival in the US.
This edition of the festival is going virtual and a number of celebrated institutions shared in organizing the event such as the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
Directed by Zein Alexander, the film revolves around a father who dies and leaves behind his wife, daughter, and son. The mother becomes involved in organizing her husband's funeral, while the son and the daughter start to discuss their problems and issues openly.
The film's first world premiere was at the 76th Venice Film Festival and it gained four awards at Carthage Film Days.
