A Japanese researcher, Dr. Waseem Jaber has developed a technique that eliminates the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19) by using nanotechnology.

Dr. Jaber led a group of Lebanese researchers who included Dr. Hussein Jaber and Eng.  Mohsen Moamen.

Dr. Jaber revealed that the team has achieved a scientific breakthrough within the framework of combating Coronavirus through the use of "nanotechnology".

The importance of this achievement is evident in the invention of a device that has proven effective in sterilization and killing the deadly virus for months, by placing it on banknotes,  solid places, or on fabrics, including masks and clothing for medical personnel working in the fighting of Corona.

This technology can also be used to sterilize air-conditioning equipment, and thus any virus in the room is killed upon hitting the device's particles, in addition to the possibility of using the device on surfaces in cars and medical places.

The team of researchers confirmed that the device, which will be available in Lebanon and abroad within three weeks. It will be used to sterilize facial masks in the first stage.

It recently obtained two efficacy certificates from the Valencia Institute of Microbiology in Spain and the Industrial Research Institute at the Lebanese University.

Dr. Jaber, who is a researcher in physics and nanotechnology at the Higher Institute of Physics in Paris, pointed out that the idea of this technology came to his mind due to the lack of proven vaccines that eliminate the Coronavirus, despite the rapid spread of the virus and the increasing number of deaths all over the world.

Hence the confrontation with the deadly virus was necessary.

He added that he has lived in France for 11 years and when he came to Lebanon in March, Corona was starting to spread in the country. Thus, work on this technique began in April, and results began to appear in early June.

The research team conducted a study of the virus and we reached a scientific conclusion.

A substance that works by nanotechnology was found to curb "corona" because the regular sterilizing devices do not continue their effect except for a very short period.
