Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called for an emergency meeting this morning at the Presidential Palace to discuss the latest developments and current situation on the domestic scene.
The meeting is expected to include a number of officials and relevant parties, within the framework of joint coordination to monitor developments and take the necessary decisions and appropriate measures.
Hezbollah announced that the continued Israeli attacks and the assassination of its leaders and members give it the right to defend itself and retaliate, indicating that the recent operations are part of this legitimate right.
The party confirmed that it targeted southern Haifa with a barrage of rockets and drones in response to what it described as repeated Israeli attacks.
Hezbollah explained that the attacks were in revenge for the blood of Imam Khamenei and in defense of Lebanon and its people, targeting military sites such as Mishmar al-Karmel south of the occupied city of Haifa.
