Lebanese President: Targeting Humanitarian Workers a Flagrant Violation of International Law

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed his deep sorrow over the martyrdom of two Civil Defense members as a result of the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, despite the declared ceasefire. He considered the targeting of humanitarian and relief workers a flagrant violation of international law and all humanitarian principles.

President Aoun offered his sincere condolences to the families of the two martyrs and to the Civil Defense, praising the sacrifices made by its members to protect citizens and save lives in the most difficult circumstances.

He affirmed that the continuation of Israeli attacks undermines efforts to consolidate the truce, stressing that he will not hesitate to work with relevant international bodies to stop the repeated violations and ensure a complete Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Lebanese territories.
