Lebanese Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Nawaf Salam met today, Sunday, with Algerian Presidential Envoy and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed Attaf and his accompanying delegation to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon and regional issues.
During the meeting with the Algerian minister, who is currently visiting Beirut, Salam emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, particularly by activating the work of the Lebanese-Algerian High Joint Committee and the Algerian-Lebanese Business Council. He noted that these efforts would have a positive impact on both countries' economies, according to the Lebanese National News Agency.
For his part, the Algerian minister congratulated Salam on the formation of the new government and expressed Algeria’s readiness to provide full support to Lebanon in facing the challenges of the coming period.
