Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met with General Jasper Jivers, head of the monitoring committee for the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, in the presence of U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson and the media advisor to the Speaker, Ali Hamdan.
The discussions focused on field developments, particularly Israel’s continued violations of the agreement, according to a statement by the Lebanese Parliament.
Berri also discussed Israeli breaches with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and his accompanying delegation.
Moreover, their talks addressed general developments in Lebanon and the region, recent political updates, and bilateral relations between Lebanon and France.
In addition, Lebanese Parliament Speaker emphasized Lebanon’s protest against Israel's persistent violations of the agreement and repeated attacks on southern Lebanon.
