The Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, called on the graduates of the Military Academy to distance themselves from any sectarian pisions that sow discord among the sons of the same country.

Aoun stressed that the plurality of sects is a blessing, but sectarianism is a curse, considering that sectarian conflicts have led Lebanon to ruin.

The Lebanese Army Commander said - in a speech he delivered yesterday, Wednesday, during his meeting at the Military College with officers who have graduated from the first course in the history of the army that includes officers of both sexes after three years of study - that the cadets' entry to the Military College was a challenging project to avoid the void in light of the obstacles that prevented volunteering.

He called on the fresh-graduated officers to live up to the heavy responsibilities that await them in the units and to be always ready to redouble efforts to preserve Lebanon's security.
