The Lebanese Army has declared the deployment of military units in the town of Aitaroun - Bint Jbeil in the central sector and other border areas in the region south of the Litani River.
According to a statement released by the Lebanese National News Agency on Saturday evening, the deployment in the southern Litani region was coordinated with the Five-Party Committee overseeing the ceasefire agreement between Beirut and Tel Aviv.
The Lebanese military statement highlighted that this deployment comes in response to the continued aggression by the Israeli enemy, including house burnings in several towns such as Aitaroun - Bint Jbeil, Rabb Thalathin, and Adaisseh - Marjayoun, along with two airstrikes targeting vehicles involved in the retrieval of bodies in the town of Taibe - Marjayoun.
The statement from the Lebanese Army further indicated that the army continues to support the residents in the border towns, diligently working to implement Resolution 1701 and carry out necessary field measures in various locations in the southern Litani area.
