Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov outlined Russia's conditions for reaching a peace agreement with Ukraine on Sunday.
Lavrov said, in statements reported by Russia Today: "The guarantor countries will guarantee the security of Ukraine, which must be neutral, unbiased towards any military bloc, and non-nuclear."
He added that Ukraine's security must be guaranteed by a group of UN Security Council members, noting that the group could also include Germany, Turkey, and other countries.
The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized: "Ukraine's membership in NATO is unacceptable to Russia, and Moscow wants to protect Russian speakers in Ukraine."
