Russian Foreign Minister (FM) Sergey Lavrov stated on Monday that Washington will reject any European proposals to deploy foreign troops in Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire.
In remarks reported by the Russian news agency "Sputnik," Lavrov explained: "British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte are speaking publicly about deploying reconnaissance forces as a precursor to intervention forces, with an automatic guarantee of U.S. military support."
Lavrov continued: "I will not go into the details of our discussions with the Americans, but we asked them about the validity of this matter. I have no doubt that the response sent to the Europeans and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not be positive."
