On Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned Western countries against training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters.
Lavrov stressed that Russia has the necessary means to respond to this situation.
"As for Denmark and the Netherlands and their intention to be at the forefront of training Ukrainian pilots for Western planes, first of all, they seek to satisfy the desire of the dominant United States. These countries are actively following Washington's line," he added at a press conference in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, according to the Russia Today news website.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced, at the end of last week, that Denmark and the Netherlands will lead a European coalition to train Kyiv forces to fly F-16 fighters.
In previous statements, Austin pointed out that the US hopes to start training Ukrainian pilots in the coming weeks.
