Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow and Tehran are seeking to normalize the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program through diplomatic means to eliminate any destructive scenarios.
During a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, in Moscow on Wednesday, Lavrov confirmed Russia's readiness to assist Iran in finding appropriate solutions to the nuclear crisis.
Lavrov noted that Moscow, in its communications with Washington, urges the American side to seek mutually acceptable solutions regarding the Iranian nuclear file.
He emphasized that Russia is not imposing mediation efforts regarding this matter but will provide them if Tehran requests it.
Furthermore, Lavrov expressed Moscow's optimism about strengthening its strategic partnership with Tehran following the conclusion of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.
