The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday, the postponement of Russian Foreign Minister (FM) Sergey Lavrov's visit to Belarus, which was scheduled for November 27 and 28, due to the death of his Belarusian counterpart, Vladimir Makei.
In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed its deep sorrow over Mackie's death, noting that Vladimir Makei was a true friend of Russia and made a unique contribution to the comprehensive development of bilateral cooperation, and the strengthening of people-to-people relations.
According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Earlier Sunday, Sergey Lavrov expressed his condolences on the sudden death of Vladimir Makei. He sent a telegram of condolences to his colleague’s wife.
