Russian Foreign Minister (FM) Sergey Lavrov said that his country is interested in ending the Ukrainian crisis as soon as possible.
Lavrov's remarks came during a news conference with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira in Brasilia.
"We are interested in the Ukrainian conflict ending as soon as possible. We have already announced in detail the reasons for what is happening and the very goals that we are pursuing in this regard," Lavrov said.
On Monday, Lavrov arrived in Brazil, the first stop on a tour that will take him to a number of Latin American countries.
Lavrov's tour, which will last from today until April 21, is scheduled to include Brazil, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba.
