Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al Maliki revealed that he had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, during which the latter invited him to visit Moscow.
Al Maliki affirmed that he is always happy to meet Lavrov and exchange views, and discuss bilateral, regional, and international issues, Sputnik reported on Friday.
The Palestinian official noted that he will consider the visit and maybe head to Moscow during the next two months.
Lavrov previously expressed concern over the new spiral of violence in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
"The Russian side stressed that Moscow is concerned over the new spiral of violence in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which is fraught with the resumption of a full-scale armed confrontation leading to further casualties and damages," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
