On Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the European Union in the situation around Ukraine is fulfilling the will of the US, at its expense.
During a joint press conference after his talks with the Congolese Foreign Minister, Lavrov mentioned that the whole of Europe is undoubtedly subject to the dictates of the United States, and it complies with Washington's will to do great harm to it, from the private economic sector to the social field.
He also indicated that he discussed with his counterpart from the Congo ways to overcome the chaos artificially created by the West in the global economy, saying, "We discussed specific ways to avoid artificial obstacles in the relations between Russia and the Republic of Congo and do everything so that our trade, economic and investment relations do not depend on the chaos that regulation by the West in the global economy."
After Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, Western countries, including the EU, imposed sanctions on Moscow, and these restrictions contributed to the rise in energy and food prices in European countries.
