The Latvian government has declared 25 Russian artists banned from its territory for expressing their support for the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
On Thursday, The Foreign Ministry announced that the blacklist includes film director Nikita Mikhalkov, actor Vladimir Mashkov, Pianist Denis Matsuyev, singer Polina Gagarina, and other Russian artists in the cultural and entertainment field.
The ministry explained that those artists have publicly expressed their support for the military operation in Ukraine, noting that the measure bans them from entering Latvia for an indefinite period.
