Pain and Glory (Spanish: Dolor y gloria) is a Spanish drama movie that was produced in 2019. It was chosen by Time magazine as the best film of the year.

The movie was released in Spain on March 22, 2019, but had its international debut at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, where it competed for the "Palme d’Or" award.

Moreover, Pain and Glory were nominated as the Spanish entry for Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, with Antonio Banderas was nominated for Best Actor.

Furthermore, Banderas had also won the Best Actor award at the Cannes, meanwhile, Alberto Iglesias won Best Soundtrack award.

The plot follows a film director now in his twilight years as he reflects on his life in a series of flashbacks.

It scored 97% from Rotten Tomatoes, 7.6/10 from IMDb, and 87% from Metacritic, while 83% google users like it.
