After the concerns raised by detecting the Delta COVID-19 strain in more than 80 countries around the world, a new variant declared its presence in the world, Lambda, and the first station is as always the UK.
UK is still the main environment for declaring the fast breakout of mutated COVID-19 variants starting from the local strain known as the British one (B.1.1.7), the Delta that first detected in India (B.1.617.2), Delta Plus, and now the C.37
Detected for the first time in Peru and more than 80% of the discovered cases in the state related to this variant.
Firstspot website reported on Tuesday that the UK Health Department observed an obvious emergence of the new variant alongside the continued activity of previously detected strains.
However, the British Health Department highlighted that it is still one of the variants that under investigation. The kingdom identified until now six Lambda cases, and all of them related to traveling abroad. Also, the new variant has been detected in 29 countries including the Americans, Europe, and Oceania.
Regarding the symptoms of this strain are similar to the emerged COVID-19 variants around the world such as the loss of smell and taste, fever, and exhaustion.
In addition, there is no evidence until now related to the more infectious nature or sever disease features abilities of the Lambda.
