Actress, Laila Elwy caught eyes yesterday, Wednesday while attending the activities of El Gouna Film Festival, because of her an outstanding look.

Laila, 57, looked stunning in a silver sequins dress, with simple make-up and hair-style.

Elwy, born on January 4, 1962, is a famous Egyptian actress. Her father is Egyptian and her mother is Greek.

Laila took small parts in films as a child and performed in several titles.

Late Egyptian actor, Nour El-Sherif discovered her acting skills while she was performing on stage.

She co-starred in her first television role in soap opera “Dimoo’ Fawq al-Haqiqa”.

The actress is considered a glamorous icon in her generation and in the Middle East.

Noteworthy, El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) will take place from September 19 to 27 at El Gouna Resort-town، in Red Sea governorate.

This year, 83 films will be screened, which includes 51 competing in the three official competitions, three official competitions (Feature Narrative Competition, Feature Documentary Competition, and Short Film Competition), which totals 224,000 USD.

The festival was established on September 22, 2017, to underscore the role cinema plays in promoting cultural interaction and to highlight the awareness of different cinematic voices through encouraging dialogue and by building bridges of creative intellect, according to el Gouna film festival website.

Moreover, it will present a selection of the newest films from around the globe and host established and emerging filmmakers.

The program will include three competitive sections (Feature Narrative Competition, Feature Documentary Competition, and Short Films Competition) an official selection out of competition and a section devoted to special programs.

It will also give special attention to films with humanitarian content.

In parallel to the screenings, the festival will organize the “CineGouna platform”, which is a creative and business hub designed to support Egyptian and Arab talents; a wide range of meetings will be organized between Arab and international directors, producers, and distributors to enhance business opportunities for the Arab cinema. It will also present round-tables, workshops, panels, and masterclasses.
