LAFF Selects Sudanese Cinema as Guest of Honor for 10th Edition

During the celebration of the return of the African Cinema Club, LAFF’s administration announced the selection of Sudanese cinema and the State of Sudan as the guest of honor for the next edition of the Festival - LAFF2021.

LAFF is an abbreviation of the Luxor African Film Festival.

The move aims to honor the young Sudanese filmmakers who been introduced to the major film festivals such as Berlin, Venice, Toronto, and others.

Azza Elhosseiny, director of LAFF, said: Five Sudanese films represent stages of evolution in the Sudanese film industry will be screened during the festival."

"The edition will be dedicated to the late Sudanese artist Al-Hadi Seddik, one of the most important pioneers of Sudanese cinematic art."

 

The festival will celebrate its tenth edition by setting a special program.
