Lady Gaga's new feature "House of Gucci" will hit Rome's cinema theaters on December 3, media agencies reported on Saturday.

The film, directed by Ridley Scott, details the assassination of Italian businessman Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver) and the aftermath of his death after his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga) hired a hitman to kill him.

The duo married in 1973 and finalized in 1991 their porce. The former couple’s marriage ended in May 1985  after the businessman left his wife for a younger woman after 12 years of marriage.

Reggiani, then Maurizio’s wife, was convicted of orchestrating Guccio Gucci’s grandson’s death after he had an affair. She served 18 years in prison, where she gained the nickname Black Widow, before being released in 2016.

Filmed in Europe, “House of Gucci” marks Gaga’s first movie since “A Star Is Born”, which earned her Oscar and Golden Globe nominations.

The crime movie is written by Roberto Bentivegna and is based on the 2001 book “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed” by Sara Gay Forden.

“The House of Gucci” also stars Al Pacino, Salma Hayek, Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Jack Huston, Reeve Carney, and others. MGM, Bron Creative, and Scott Free Productions produce.

Scott began developing the project in 2006 but quit in 2012 before signing on once again in 2019.

“House of Gucci” will hit cinemas on November 24.
