The Minister of Labor, Hassan Raddad, announced that private sector employees covered by the provisions of Labor Law No. 14 of 2025 will be granted an official paid holiday to commemorate the June 30 Revolution.
The holiday will be observed on Thursday, July 2, 2026, instead of Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
The Minister explained that this decision comes in implementation of Article 129 of Labor Law No. 14 of 2025, which stipulates that employees are entitled to fully paid leave on official holidays and occasions determined by a decree from the competent minister.
Furthermore, this aligns with the state's efforts to unify official holiday schedules across various sectors whenever possible, thereby achieving the intended social and national goals of public holidays, and in accordance with Prime Minister Decree No. 1986 of 2026.
