Kuwaiti PM, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Discuss Ways to Strengthen Economic Ties

Kuwaiti Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, received Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib.

The meeting focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations in various areas of mutual interest, as well as strategies to boost trade, industrial, and investment cooperation for the benefit of both nations and their people.

Kuwaiti PM reaffirmed Kuwait’s deep appreciation for Egypt and its commitment to strengthening economic relations between the two countries. 

He also praised the positive outcomes of the Joint Trade Committee and its significant role in advancing economic cooperation across multiple sectors.

For his part, El-Khatib conveyed the greetings of Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, to his Kuwaiti counterpart and extended an invitation for him to visit Egypt.

He also expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Kuwait for hosting the Joint Trade Committee sessions.

The meeting was attended by Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajil, Kuwait’s Minister of Commerce and Industry; Osama Shaltout, Egypt’s Ambassador to Kuwait; Hossam Heiba, Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones; and Minister Plenipotentiary for Trade, Essam Breqa.
