On Sunday, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah spoke by phone with Jordanian King Abdullah II.
During the phone call, Kuwaiti Emir affirmed his country's support for all the decisions and measures taken by King Abdullah II to maintain Jordan's security and stability.
Sheikh Nawaf also stressed that the security and stability of Jordan is an integral part of Kuwait's security.
It is worth mentioning that, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Jordan, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al Hunaiti, confirmed today, Saturday, that Prince Hamzah bin Al-Hussein was asked to stop “movements and activities that aim to target Jordan’s security.”
Jordan News Agency reported in a statement, that “the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al Hunaiti, confirmed today, Saturday, that allegations published about the arrest of Prince Hamzah are baseless, but he indicated that the prince was asked to stop the movements and activities that are used to target the security and stability of Jordan.”
Major General Al-Huneiti said: “investigations are still ongoing,” stressing that “all measures were taken within the framework of the law. “No one is above the law and Jordan’s security and stability are above all.”
