Kuwaiti Deputy PM, US Defense Secretary Discuss Current Regional Developments over Phone

Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, and the Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef Al-Sabah discussed with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, the current regional developments and the military escalation that directly threatens security and stability in the region.

This came during a phone call that the Kuwaiti Defense Minister received from his US counterpart.

During the phone call, they discussed many issues and topics of common interest between the two friendly countries, according to a statement issued by  Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense.

For his part, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef affirmed the official position of the State of Kuwait calling for the importance of the Security Council assuming its responsibilities towards maintaining international peace and security by ensuring the commitment of the entire international community to what is stipulated in international laws and conventions.
