The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Iranian ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Tutunji, on Tuesday, and handed him a protest note regarding the infiltration of Bubiyan Island by an armed group of Iranian Revolutionary Guard members and their clash with Kuwaiti armed forces.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Hamad Suleiman Al-Mishaan, reiterated, during his meeting with the Iranian ambassador, Kuwait's strong condemnation of this hostile act. He demanded that Iran immediately and unconditionally cease such actions, holding it fully responsible for this blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and a grave breach of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026).
