The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said on Saturday that one of its critical oil-sector facilities was subjected to repeated attacks that resulted in several injuries and significant material damage.

In a statement, the state-owned energy company said emergency teams provided medical assistance to those injured and evacuated the affected site, while authorities continue to manage the incident in coordination with relevant government agencies.

The corporation did not immediately provide further details on the exact location of the facility, the nature of the attack, or the extent of operational disruptions.

The incident raises fresh concerns over security risks facing energy infrastructure in the Gulf region, where tensions have increased amid escalating geopolitical developments and growing threats to strategic oil and shipping assets.

Kuwait is one of the world’s major oil producers and a key member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), making the security of its energy facilities closely watched by global markets.
