The main land border crossing between Kuwait and Iraq has reopened after being temporarily closed following a drone attack that caused material damage but no casualties.

Iraq's Border Ports Authority announced on Sunday, according to the Iraqi News Agency, that the Abdali border crossing had resumed operations.

The crossing was closed after the Kuwaiti military suspended traffic on Thursday in response to a drone attack that damaged facilities at the border post. No injuries were reported.

Located in Kuwait's Jahra Governorate, the Abdali crossing serves as a key gateway for passenger travel and trade between Kuwait and Iraq.

Authorities have not yet identified the party responsible for launching the drones, and investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
