Kuwait detected the latest variant of Omicron, EG.5, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday.
The ministry added in the statement that the detection of those variants is expected, and no need to worry.
It highlighted that this variant is discovered in more than 50 countries around the world. In addition, it is not threatening as the previous variants of Omicron, although it can spread faster than the rest of the strains.
The statement concluded that people who are at risk of severe illness should make sure of having the required vaccines, and follow the medical instructions.
