The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has announced the partial resumption of operations at Kuwait International Airport, hours after Iranian attacks reportedly caused significant damage to Terminal 1 (T1).

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the aviation authority said that only flights operated by Kuwait Airways would resume through Terminal 4 (T4), following the completion of technical assessments and safety inspections.

The authority said the decision was taken after specialized teams and relevant agencies finished evaluating the damage and implementing the necessary measures to ensure the safe continuation of airport operations.

According to the statement, field inspections and technical evaluations were conducted in coordination with government authorities to verify the readiness of the terminal and ensure it could safely receive passengers and flights.

The aviation authority also urged travelers planning to continue their journeys to contact Kuwait Airways directly for updated flight schedules and travel information.
