Saudi Arabia has welcomed the agreement to resume cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), an accord reached under Egyptian mediation, according to a statement issued by Saudi Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Riyadh described the step as a positive development that could contribute to regional stability and strengthen international efforts to ensure the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.
The agreement is seen as a diplomatic breakthrough facilitated by Egypt, underscoring Cairo’s growing role in regional security and non-proliferation issues. It also comes amid ongoing international concerns about Iran’s nuclear activities and broader tensions in the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia has repeatedly stressed the importance of transparency and compliance with international obligations regarding nuclear programs, voicing support for initiatives that promote peace and security across the region.
