Today, KSA and Sudan agreed to start initiatives in order to achieve interests for their people.
The Saudi Press Agency said that Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi foreign minister, arrived in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum on an official visit, adding: "He was received at Khartoum International Airport by the Sudanese Foreign Minister-designate Omar Qamar al-Din."
The agency continued, "The Saudi foreign minister held a session of talks with the Sudanese foreign minister in charge; they reviewed strengthening relations between the two countries, and the developments of the situation in Sudan."
It also added, "The peace agreement recently signed in Juba was reviewed, and the developments in the region and issues of common interest were discussed."
The Sudanese News Agency "SUNA" indicated that the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, expressed Sudan's appreciation for the stance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of Khartoum, in all areas, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic and the floods that the country witnessed.
Al-Burhan continued that "He is keen to develop relations between Sudan and KSA in a way that achieves the common interests of the two countries.
The Sudanese agency indicated that Faisal bin Farhan stressed KSA's position in supporting Sudan to remove its name from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism permanently; besides its support for the government to make the transitional period successful. He also praised Sudan's position and its participation in the Decisive Storm.
The agency pointed out that the two sides discussed investment issues and ways to overcome the obstacles facing Saudi investors in Sudan.
