Moscow affirmed that it will retaliate the expulsion of a Russian diplomat from Moldova, the country's Foreign Ministry told TASS on Monday.
"Russia will give an appropriate response," the ministry stressed.
Moldova's Foreign and European Integration Ministry announced that the republic was expelling a Russian embassy employee after an incident involving falling rocket fragments on the country's territory.
The Moldovan Internal Affairs Ministry has reported the fall of rocket fragments on the outskirts of the village of Naslavcea.
Preliminary information revealed that there were no casualties.
