Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday that Moscow remains open to a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, even as the "Special Military Operation" continues.
In statements reported by the Sputnik news agency, Peskov said, "Russia continues its special military operation, but the doors remain open for a peaceful solution; Russia maintains its openness."
When asked about the commencement of the trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi, he confirmed, "The work begins today."
Regarding Russia's stance on the situation in Ukraine, Peskov clarified, "Our position is crystal clear and well-understood by the Kyiv regime, as well as by the American negotiators who are providing their good offices in organizing these trilateral talks, and to whom we express our gratitude for their efforts."
He further noted that until Kyiv makes the "appropriate decisions," the special military operation will proceed. "Our armed forces are launching strikes against targets believed to be linked to the military complexes of the Kyiv regime, and the operation is ongoing," the Kremlin spokesman added.
