The Korean Cultural Center wrapped up the final round of the "Quiz on Korea" cultural competition yesterday.
14 contestants who won the preliminary round of the competition took part in the event amid strict precautionary measures to maintain public safety.
After three hours of questions, Sarah Bakr Ahmed, a dentist, won first place. Maryam Mamdouh Abdul Rahman also won second place, while Nasma Taher Abdul Alim Mohammed and Nasma Rifai won together third place.
The competition aims to test general information about South Korea in various fields, including Korean history, economy, language, and culture, while at the same time providing an additional incentive for Korean culture fans to continue their interest in Korean culture.
Oh Sung-ho, director of the Korean Cultural Center, expressed his happiness at the resumption of the offline events at the Center after a long period of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, noting that the center is always welcoming K-fans who in fact serve as "bridges" to promote cultural exchange between Egypt and South Korea.
After honoring the winners of the first three places, the Director of the Centre awarded prizes to all participants of the competition. A number of participants also presented a number of artistic shows that demonstrated their passion for Korean culture.
