Meanwhile, Sung-ho Oh, Director of the Center welcomed the audience while expressing his happiness at the resumption of the offline events at the Center.
He stressed that he is enthusiastically seeking to expand both online and offline cultural activities, in order to promote cultural exchange between South Korea and Egypt.
The Director of the Center also hoped that Covid-19 would simply fade away soon, so that the Center could bring its cultural activities back to full potential.
Also in this regard, Sung-ho Oh said: "Cinema screenings are an essential part of the Center's annual program, noting that viewers will be closely acquainted with the traditions and customs of the Koreans as well as their lifestyle, which in turn will promote mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries."
The Korean Cultural Center launched in May its online ‘New Normal Cinema’ program, amid the new conditions that have been adopted due to the Coronavirus, most notably social distancing.
The event seeks to reach out to the Korean cultural fans in all Egyptian governorates as well as meeting their passion for Korean cinema. The Center selected a variety of film genres including drama, action, and romance.
The "New Normal Cinema" program is scheduled to run until the end of this year, with a Korean film screened online on Thursdays at 1 p.m. Meanwhile, the Center plans to hold offline screenings for the public on Wednesdays at 1 p.m.
It's worth mentioning that the film schedule will be updated on the Center's website and the Center's social media pages. The Center invites K-fans in Egypt to follow its latest news and events on its website and Facebook page.
