Korean Ambassador to Cairo Hong Hong Jin Wook met this morning, Wednesday, with a group of fans of the Korean culture wave (Hallyu) in Egypt, as part of the activities of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Egypt.
The ambassador stressed the importance of the role of fans of Korean culture in enhancing cooperation and friendship bonds between the peoples of the two countries, pointing out that they acted as ambassadors to Egypt.
The ambassador listened to the ideas put forward by the Egyptian youth group, which included a number of recipients of degrees from South Korea, students of the Korean Language Department at Ain Shams University, and honorary correspondents for Korea.net.
Hong expressed his overwhelming happiness with the ideas that resulted from the meeting, in which social distancing was taken into consideration, and promised that he would do his utmost to put it into practice.
Hong most noted the strength of cooperation between the two countries regarding scientific research activities and the transfer of Korea's experience in distance education to Egyptian universities and the inauguration of an office for the Korean Tourism Authority in Egypt, as well as providing training opportunities for Korean language learners.
The ambassador in Cairo always stresses the strength of the Seoul-Cairo relations and the Egyptian government's support for all investments by overcoming all the challenges that the companies faced in the previous period.
It’s noteworthy that the Seoul side is keen to increase the presence of Korean companies in Egypt to open new investments.
Egypt is looking forward to enhancing joint investment cooperation with South Korea by pumping more investments in light of the serious policies taken by the Egyptian government to increase investment and production rates.
There are great success stories for Korean companies operating in Egypt, which have witnessed a remarkable development in recent times to implement a number of projects of a strategic dimension, including the electronics and home appliances sectors represented by Samsung and LG, as the two companies announced this year to increase their investments and introduce new products to the Egyptian market.
