Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, praised Mohamed Salah for stepping and taking the winning penalty against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah scored his 14th league goal of the season against Aston Villa from the penalty spot, bringing his total tally this season to 21 goals across all competitions.

While the Reds dominated possession they struggled to break Villa’s defensive line and when they did they found Emiliano Martinez who managed to stop most of their attempts on goal with a total of four saves.

“Absolutely insane. We all think penalty. Everybody wishes in the moment to take the penalty but he finishes it off. The whole game was not the easiest but the triangles we had on the right and left wing was really outstanding. In the end we did not have enough bodies in the box in the first half,” Klopp told BBC after the match.
