Kishada: Tokyo Will Work Closely with Washington, Seoul to Confront Regional Security Threats

Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Fumio Kishida said on Tuesday that United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold an emergency meeting on N.Korea missile launches, at the request of his country, stressing that Tokyo will work closely with Washington and Seoul to confront regional security threats.

Moreover, Kishada added that his government submitted a strong note of protest to North Korea through the Japanese embassy in China."

On his part, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno, criticized Pyongyang's missile launch, saying: "The series of measures taken by North Korea are completely unacceptable, as they threaten peace and security in Japan, the region, and the international community."
