US National Security Council's strategic communications coordinator John Korby said on Tuesday that if China wants to play a constructive role in Ukraine, Chinese President Xi Jinping should urge Russia to end its invasion of Ukraine, noting that "China does not have a neutral position on Ukraine."
In a press conference, Kirby added that "the United Nations Charter means that Russia must withdraw from (the entire territory of) Ukraine."
Moreover, Kirby refused to consider the relationship between Russia and China an "alliance", hours after Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow, adding that the two countries want to see the world governed according to their rules
