King, Queen of Spain to Visit Egypt on Tuesday

King Felipe VI and Queen Elizabeth II of Spain will begin a state visit to Egypt tomorrow, Tuesday, at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The King and Queen will be accompanied during their first four-day visit to Egypt by the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares.

The Spanish Embassy in Cairo reported, on Monday, that President Sisi will receive the King and Queen at Al-Ittihadiya Palace, where an official reception ceremony will be held.

The King and Queen of Spain will also visit a series of Spanish economic, cultural, and scientific projects in Cairo and Luxor, including archaeological missions.

During the visit, a Spanish-Egyptian Business Forum will be held to strengthen economic and trade relations between both countries.

The visit comes within the framework of the distinguished relations between Egypt and Spain, which were elevated to the level of a strategic partnership following President Sisi's visit to Spain in February 2025.

This visit represents an opportune opportunity to further strengthen the deep historical, political, economic, cultural, scientific, cooperative, and humanitarian ties between Egypt and Spain.
