In his speech opening the new parliamentary session, King Charles III of Britain stated that the world is becoming increasingly dangerous and volatile, posing a threat to the United Kingdom, with the conflict in the Middle East being just the latest example. He affirmed that measures would be taken to alleviate humanitarian needs and conflicts worldwide.
The King explained, "We will continue to support long-term solutions in the Middle East and a two-state solution in Israel and Palestine." He added, "We will take urgent action to combat antisemitism and ensure that all communities feel safe."
He further stated that the British government would support measures that maintain stability and the cost of living, adding, "My government will work to improve relations with the European Union."
