King Charles III will attend the COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai next month, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Wednesday.
The King, who is a supporter of stronger solutions to face climate change, will deliver the opening address at the World Climate Action Summit.
The upcoming participation is the first for King Charles III at COP summits since taking the throne.
He played a vital role in supporting environmental issues since his run as the Prince of Wales.
The King will deliver his speech at the summit on December 1 and will “take the opportunity to have meetings with regional leaders” ahead of the event.
