King Charles III and Queen Camilla will visit Canada on May 26 and 27. The king will preside over the state opening of Canadian Parliament in Ottawa.
It will be the royal couple's first visit to Canada as sovereigns and the first for them since 2022.
King Charles will be the first monarch to preside over the state opening of the Parliament since 1977.
To mark the visit, the Royal House released new portraits for the couple with Canadian orders.
King Charles III wore the insignia of the Order of Canada, which he received as Prince of Wales in 2017, in addition to a bar of medals from Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Queen Camilla wore the Queen Mother’s Maple Leaf Brooch.
King Charles III will have an audience with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
The late Queen Elizabeth II opened the Canadian Parliament twice during her reign as Queen of Canada.
