On Friday, US President Donald Trump responded to the UK King Charles III's invitation for a state visit to the UK.
Trump was invited to the UK in a personal letter from the monarch, which was handed to Trump by Sir Keir Starmer on his visit to the US earlier this year.
On the visit date, Trump said in a meeting in the Oval Office that the visit could be scheduled in September.
Trump said: "I have great respect for King Charles and the family William, we have, it's really just a great respect for the family, and it's a very great honor that. And I think they're setting a date for September.”
According to the Independent, King Charles is preparing to host the US president and first lady as the UK government attempts to set a deal with the US after imposing a series of tariffs.
Windsor Castle is expected to host the meeting between the King and the President.
